~Healers~

Healers are very much what they sound like. They learn how to use the land around them as medicine and healing. It is their job to keep the tribe healthy and to treat the wounded. They tend to be female, but that is not always the case. Many of these tend to be mid-ranks as they have a curiosity for learning how to make better medicine and healing techniques. Normally they are seen as the right-hand to the Earth Mother herself. One or Two members are chosen to be apart of the Council. The eldest Healers are known as Erde’s Hand.

~Sky-Watchers~

Sky-watchers are in charge of documenting the stars and advising the Chieftain in making decisions. They study astrology and astronomy literature to keep destined dates or events. One of their jobs is documenting the changing in the stars and planets on a nightly basis. It is also their job to bless the birth of a new changeling. They are in many ways the priests of the tribe. People in this role tend to be seen as the right-hand of the Father of Stars. Like the Healers one or two people of this role will be chosen to be apart of the Council. The eldest sky-watchers are commonly referred to as Sterne’s Herald

~Guardians~

Guardians tend to be lower ranked changelings. They are the “military” of the tribe, and are the most adept in combat ability. Those who are of higher-rank tend to be Warchiefs. They help lead the Guardians in training and strategy. This is the most common role where a low-rank has earned a high-rank quickly and could become a War Chief. And like before, the War Chief is asked to be apart of the Council.

~Historians~

Historians document the daily events. They keep record of every birth, death, joining, and current rank of every member of their tribe. Many times during an Outcast trial a Historian will be asked to put together the facts of the changeling on stand. They are the ones who keep record of where Changelings came from and where they have now journeyed too. During a funeral of a Chieftain a high-ranked Historian will be asked to read that Chieftain's past in a summary from birth to death. Just like the last two roles, one or two Historians are apart of the Council. The highest position for the Historians is known as the Keeper.

~Chieftain~

This is the one truly set role in a tribe. Chieftains are picked among the current Aquarius ranks by the Council. The Chieftain also tends to be female, but this is not always the case. Sometimes after a Chieftain has died it could take weeks for a Council to set up trials and make a proper decision on the new leader. For the Chieftain is not only the face of the tribe, but has final decision on almost everything. If a Chieftain takes advantage of his or her role the Council reserves the right to veto the Chieftain at any point and time and go through the process again. When there is no Chieftain available the Council acts as the leader of the tribe. Each Tribe is different in their nominating process, but the Aquarius must have the qualities of acceptance, compassion, and eagerness to see his/her tribe thrive.

~Council~

The tribe’s council consists of the chieftain first and foremost. All of the other members depend on the tribe, but tend to be the Guardian War Chief, Erde’s Hands, Sterne’s Heralds, and The Keepers. Only those of within the high tiers can become the top in their role. They are responsible for talking one on one with the chieftain. It is also their responsibility when a chieftain dies to pick a new Aquarius leader. Normally they will pick a few different candidates and have them go through a separate set of trials based on leadership capability and combat.
