Garb Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

(Morphed/Natural Form)

Belt "Flag"

Does not actually have to be a “flag”. It may be a garb attachment as simple as a piece of leather on a string with one’s birth (zodiac) rank. Preferably the string will be purple, though this is not required.  If it is done as an actual flag the flag color is not specific, but it should be outlined in purple in some manner. It is a-okay to have your birth rank and tribe symbol on the same flag. As Long as one’s birth rank is painted or attached onto their torso/leg/hip garb in some way they have met this requirement. The rank can be shown by either the constellation itself, or the simple zodiac symbol.

Sterne Beads

Once a changeling has gone through their Sterne trials they must wear the beads. Most commonly they will wear their beads with pride of many hard years preparing for their Trials. Many wear them in their hair or on their head. Though it is not a requirement to wear the beads on the head or hair when morphed, it is a requirement for ceremonial and non-combatant garb.

NOTE:

This is not required for Tribeless or Outcasted Changelings

Arm Band

This can be a bracelet, an arm band, or even just painted on their arm in some way. The only exception is if you wear the current rank on your face. If this is done than it must be the full or half face paint. You must have your current rank portrayed in some way that is easily separated from your birth rank. Like before it is a  okay to have this painted, sewn, etc. onto your garb. It must be on one of the arms or face. There is no color requirement, and is all based on the player themself. This can be, once again, the simple symbol or constellation of the corresponding zodiac.

NOTE:
Once again Tribeless or Outcasted Changelings are not required to have this.

Combat Requirements

Morphed

It is expected that while on the field a person will be morphed into a portrayed race. Though some may be in their true form instead. They can wear the garb of either a portrayed race, or of their tribal garb. This is partly for players to have multiple choices in creativity when it comes to garb. A person can pick and choose physical qualities from any race they have conquered successfully. For safety purposes it has been decided if you go with eye contacts for your look they are not mandatory when in combat. Just use an eye make-up when in natural form instead. This is up to the individual person's disgretion

Natural

If in natural form this is the one and only time you are not required to have white or paled out hair. The reason behind this is that changelings can pick and choose physical traits. So, in battle to make it easier than having a white wig, etc. you do not have to have the correct coloring in battle. You must be “paled” out, have your changelings set eye choice, and have the gaunt look. To pale yourself out take your skin color and pick two shades lighter than whatever that is. To make the gaunt look take gray eye-shadow or powder and darken your cheekbones, eye sockets, temples and any place between your bones where skin shows. Your war paint makeup is based solely on your tribe or individual choice. If you have chosen to portray your earned rank on your face at least half of your face must portray said rank.

NOTE:

As said before Tribless or Outcast Changelings have the option to not have an earned rank on them.

Ceremonial/NonCom Requirements

Default

You will need to be in your true and fully natural form for ceremonial garb. For NonCom it depends on your built character being in or out of hiding. This means the “paled” out skin, gaunt face, and white/pale hair for those out of hiding. Like with skin if you are unable to do white hair try doing a shade or two lighter. You can also fleck it with white hair spray coloring found commonly during Halloween sales. The rest of your garb is based off of your specific tribe, or by the race you were raised by. Feel free to research and create your own tribe you can link your ancestor to, or pick from the preexisting ones help with garb creation. If you are in hiding, the purple streak is required in your hair at all times, but your outer look should be that of the race you are portraying.

    ~Sterne Beads- Head Piece

When a player has completed their Trials of Sterne it is normal, and almost expected, that a changeling will wear their earned beads around their head, neck, or in their hair. This is not a mandatory requirement, but you will be looked down upon and sometimes shunned for not having your beads around your head area. This is only for the true form in the  ceremonial garb, after Trials of Sterne. Also, one's "beads" depend on Tribal Variation.

               Tribal Variations

All tribes are in ruins, destroyed, and non-existent in modern changelings history.  Tribe Pryde is of course the only exception. These are choices for personal preference and lore. Different changelings can follow their lineage to these tribes, they are not apart of them in present day. Many Tribes' Keepers and Historians kept record of individual tribes. Keep that in mind when making your own tribe.
