~Kraesh Changeling Reveil~

 

There are very few changelings in the world, and even fewer who come out in the open about their race. Changelings still have a bitter taste in many mouths especially in the races that had allied with the Grundar tribe. Those races have horror stories of a race that conned them in, only to destroy them at their most vunerable. Over the years changelings had become a terror tale to tell children, and even less commonly a fairytale of vast kingdoms that plunged themself into darkness It was a great civilization that caused its own demise. His reveal enabled changelings to come out of hiding, but not without a lot of questioning. They had no idea who they were, or where they came from. The history were all stories. Not to mention the young changelings had no real guidance from older changelings, the likelihood of finding another changeling was slim to none. Kraesh became stuck as the only one of his kind in current knowledge, with no proof of his own culture. That is until his courage enabled others like him to come into the light as well.

A changeling who was raised by Wood Elves found herself in need of adventure, and escape. After hearing of Kraesh she finally felt the courage to find who she really was. With this higher calling she ventured from her birth place. The young female traveled from the far west to an area just east of a great river that split the continent. There she came upon ruins of an old civilization. As curiosity swarmed her she found herself in need of documenting every inch of these ruins in the woods. She documented her findings and hoarded artifacts she found until she came upon the remnants of an old tomb. The tomb went deep underground to a vault covered with scrolls, artifacts, and a skeleton that clutched a specific scroll that would change what people knew about the changelings: a first hand account of the Massacre itself.

 

The ruins she had come upon was the great lost tribe of Grundar.  Left abandoned for 300 years had left the place overgrown, and tattered. She spent months trying to sort through the scrolls, rewriting what she could in her journal. Problem was this was only this history known from the Grundar historians. Even worst the records of any other tribe in existence at the time of the Massacre had been one of the few history books that had been too tattered to read. Finding a lifeline of the changeling race she set out to find others who were just as lost as she had been. The first she found was a young male barely in his teen years named Ajax. He brought with him a new need for Athyina to bring her history to life for a new generation. Together the two tried to find any other remnants of the civilization. Soon, they managed to find a few just as lost and excited to bring their history alive again as them.
